03/2021 New Early Years classes
Our school is looking forward to an increase in pupil numbers in September 2021. To help accommodate these extra pupils, we have just had a brand new, purpose-built building handed over to us. Project managed by NPS on behalf of Devon County Council, main Contractor Mercury Construction started on site in October 2020 and handed the building over in March 2020.
Designed to provide inspirational teaching and learning, the building was built by Wernicks Group, and provides two spacious classrooms and a central ancillary area which will be used for dining as well as messy art activities.
To complement a stunning interior, we are providing dedicated, outside play space to promote physical development, friendships, as well as social and emotional development.
We’re excited to be able to offer these fantastic facilities to our youngest children from April 2021.
Quote from Head Teacher, Stuart Allman:
‘We are delighted to have two fantastic new classrooms on our school site. They will allow us to increase our pupil numbers in September and offer great accommodation for our reception and key stage 1 classes. The building process went very smoothly and provided great entertainment for our pupils, who loved watching the builders at work.’
